Greater Providence Basketball League (GPBL)

 GPBL at Davidson College

GPBL Mission Statement:
Striving to be more Christ like showing the spirit of Jesus Christ, while bringing young people together to glorify God through an organized basketball program and competition.

Welcome to GPBL!

Due to COVID-19 we will not be able to play basketball this year. SAFETY for our children is always the #1 concern for us, as well as safety for each other. My faith in the LORD has not been shaken and I know that GOD will bring us through this, in his time, not ours! When that time comes, we will be ready to start our league back up. Until then, let’s use this time to review and reflect on ways we can make improvements for the League and ways we can bring our youth closer to GOD. Coach P.

June 30, 1968 – February 15, 2018

Brother Charles E. Hooper, Assistant Athletic Director of GPBL, was a long-time member at Greater Providence Baptist Church and served in the GPBL since its inception. He served with love, commitment, dedication, and loyalty. He worked tirelessly and served to make sure the GPBL operated in a professional and Christ-like manner. He loved the kids and loved seeing them grow in their game and spiritual development. He will be sorely missed.
